I have just launched a patreon that is going to be a combination of personal and professional art, wips, videos and tutorials! Whether you just like my character design, or have interest in finding out how I create art for the visual novels that I work on, you can get a good look at it all there! You can a get red-line over your art, a custom piece of art from me, or vote on what outfits/hairstyles characters will boast in upcoming visual novels. There may also be opportunities to vote on which ending is the cannon ending in our games.
You can also vote on who is the subject of the monthly piece of fanart. Currently I’m working on a piece of Wendy from Gravity Falls. :3

Every Kickstarter/Backerkit backer who asked for Windows, Mac, Linux or Android versions (not Steam keys, which have already been sent out) should have received an email from Sita.firstname.lastname@example.org with an invitation to view a Google Drive file.
That is what we’re using for the DRM Free version of the game for now, as we are still waiting to hear back from a distributor.

The next job to be done is to complete the Art Book and compile the Sound Track for those tiers! More news on those to come in the next few days. :3
Greetings! Since there seems to be a lot of confusion about this, I’m going to make a little update for our Kickstarter backers.
As of right now, 11/4/15 at 11 am MT, Brilliant Shadows is ONLY available via Steam key, sent to you via email, per information from your Backerkit.
Some backers may have put Windows when what they really wanted was a Steam key. This tier should have been called Windows(NOT STEAM) and we learned our lesson! Sorry about that. If you would rather a Steam key, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with info we can look you up with on backerkit and we’ll take care of it.
In the mean time, we are still waiting to hear back for our (NOT STEAM) DRM free copy distribution.
The Android copies of the game should be available later today, and we’ll send those copies out asap.
Besides that, we’ve gotten some truly lovely reviews over on Steam and couldn’t be happier about it!
We’ve had a few patches to update typoes, and a patch to fix an issue that was making some people crash. Typoes will be continued to be fixed as we receive/see them.
It’s now up on the Steam store page, and everyone who got Steam keys should be able to play with no issues. If you put down Windows/Linux/Mac rather than Steam key, but would prefer it be playable on steam, just send an email to email@example.com and I’ll swap you from that to a Steam key.
In the mean time, we’re working on getting the outside-of-Steam games set up to finish giving everyone their copy of the game.
I did not realize that the game had to be manually published after I set the release date, and publishing is not available after 5pm PDT on a Friday? I’m a little confused as to why it let me pick a time that conflicted with that schedule. Publishing is turned off during weekends. It looks like it won’t be making it out until Monday! We’re really sorry about that, but as this is our first release we had no idea.
The keys are still sent out and we’ll be working on the DRM Free release, so see you then!
After much hard work Brilliant Shadows will be officially released in under an hour!
Plugging it into Steam and getting the Trading Cards/etc set up for it was quite an experience. It was a crunch for time!
That being said, we did get some very nice feedback from the Beta testers, so hopefully typoes and things of that nature will be at a minimum. If you find anything, feel free to let us know at Ithaqualabs@gmail.com and we’ll patch it up as soon as we can!
The Windows Steam version should be working without any problems. We tried to get the Mac/Linux ones up as well, but do not have easy access to either system. If you have trouble launching it for those platforms, give us a few days and we’ll hopefully have it figured out.
The DRM free versions are still in the works! I am currently in the process of contacting GoG to get it hosted there. The Art Book and the Sound Track will be after that!
I just got finished sending out all of the Steam keys, so have a great weekend, a great Halloween and have fun in general!
Brilliant Shadows has officially moved into Beta testing. We’re missing about 30 voice lines from the game which we’re still waiting on, and the credits need to be coded, but that’s it!
I am still aiming for the end of October for release, barring no unexpected complications, and that’s if we get those last voice lines which have been a source of stress for me!
I have also been working on refilling the website with useful information since the server it was hosted on exploded shortly after completion last time… Well, I backup Bril Shads every time I work on it, guess I should have done the same for the website.
Another few cgs have slipped into the game, finishing the art needed with a rank of: Everything I Wanted To Add! which is pretty sweet.
