A belated update 2!

We just recently put up auditions for what should be the last side characters in Pale Spectrum.

If you or a friend is into voice acting, feel free to take a peak. 
Note: Some minor spoilers regarding the story so read at your own risk.

Aside from that, I’ve been adding background variants to scenes as I go through and polish chapter 2. As well as narrative coding (sprite expressions) and music.

The ending for the Mountain storyline has been written, and there’s only one remaining ending for the Palace storyline left to finish off. Which is good! Since the budget for the game is creeping close to what we had for it, which is pretty nutsy, seeing as that means we’ve spent over $5,000 on voice acting for the game so far.

It’s great to see that the end is in sight! While not entirely certain of the exact release date just now, I’m aiming roughly for April-May, as that is the 1 year mark since the kickstarter campaign ended. We’ll see how it goes! This may just mean that the game is ready for beta testing during this time, or that it’s done except for a handful of voice over lines, but I think it’s a good goal to work towards.

The studio has officially gotten moved into a new house, so expect the work flow to ramp up again as we get more and more settled.

Pale Spectrum – Kickstarted!

Thanks to you all the KS has been a major success, and we’ve hit some very fun stretch goals. The game will be fully voiced, feature extra content and have a few extra songs in the Sound track!

We will be setting up Backerkit for the project soon, so hang tight for that so we can get everybody’s preferences! Addons for things like the OST and Art book will also be available then.

Once the KS funds come through we will be sending out the Librarian Starter pack keys for Brilliant Shadows via Backerkit.

Updates will likely come every week or two now that the campaign is over and feature various art tidbits and little things that we can share without spoiling.

Bril Shads Beta Testing

Brilliant Shadows has officially moved into Beta testing.  We’re missing about 30 voice lines from the game which we’re still waiting on, and the credits need to be coded, but that’s it!

I am still aiming for the end of October for release, barring no unexpected complications, and that’s if we get those last voice lines which have been a source of stress for me!

I have also been working on refilling the website with useful information since the server it was hosted on exploded shortly after completion last time… Well, I backup Bril Shads every time I work on it, guess I should have done the same for the website.

Another few cgs have slipped into the game, finishing the art needed with a rank of: Everything I Wanted To Add!  which is pretty sweet.
